I’ve posted these photos to remind me of smelling the earthy incense of Douglas fir while running with Piper at Pacific Spirit Regional Park this morning. (Yes, Tess, I thought of your evocative post immediately in this setting.) It was wet, it was muddy, we got very dirty — but it was so worth it.
Going deeper into November

Oh, these pictures are gorgeous, I can virtually (no pun intended) feel the moss on the branches.
Wet, muddy and dirty: a state that dogs love and their humans would do well to cultivate!
Those pictures are so lovely, Elaine… I wish I could join you for a walk (I’m no runner) through those woods!
Hi Tess. I was always such a clean and tidy child I’m now making up for all the fun I missed out on. I do love moss and it’s one thing I miss about having a sunny, south-facing balcony.
Hello Miss E. I wish all my blogging friends could enjoy a walk in the woods as I did yesterday. Sometimes I am just completely overwhelmed by the beauty of creation. And more than a little frightened at what we might be losing if we don’t mend our wasteful ways. I know I still have many changes I need to make.
I’m so glad you both like the photos but I have to be honest. As long as I stand really still when I press the shutter, the camera does all the work. I love my little Canon point-and-shoot.
