Pink umbrella

Pink Umbrella
Respite from the rain,
under a pink canopy;
gray skies — go away!
So how am I spending the second week of my vacation? Enjoying the pink Spring, despite the rain. Writing haikus about the weather. Going for walks until I’m cold, wet and droopy — like these cherry blossoms but not nearly as young or pretty. Most of all, longing to be in these gardens. Maybe tomorrow.

Thank you for the moment of hanami (cherry blossom viewing) in the midst of a dilatory spring here in Montreal.
Hello Barbara.
Glad you enjoyed the glimpse of the pink here on the West Coast. I hope your Spring in Montreal will be spectacular even though late this year.
Some gorgeous images you have here Elaine, I adore cherry blossoms, can;t get enough of them. Thanks for another breath of spring. Did you have the gorgeous days on Fri and Sat and then return to NW grey again?
Hi Christine.
Thank you for stopping by today. I’ve been blogging about my stay-at-home vacation these past couple of weeks. I’ve never had time off in April and I’ve fallen in love with my city in early Spring. I’m seeing it in a new light.
Speaking of seeing things in a new light, I visited your Poetry Party yesterday. The luminous daffodil and the title of the post inspired me to look more closely at these yellow blossoms yesterday evening during our dog walk. Thank you! I’m still working on putting some thoughts together but once again, you’ve given such a wonderful prompt.
Unexpected sunshine again today. I hope you have it, too.
